Files that open themselves up.

Axodren develops a system for document and contract analysis with a law firm: clauses, risks and deadlines structured, every statement with its source, the file stays in-house.

AI agents read contracts and files: clauses, risks and deadlines, structured instead of page by page

Every statement with its source, one click to the spot in the document

Built in the firm's own environment, client data does not leave the building

The challenge

A law firm wants to rebuild its document work: contracts, files and data rooms grow faster than people can read. Searching clauses, flagging risks, extracting deadlines, summarising: highly qualified hours flow into reading work, and under time pressure the risk of missing the one decisive passage grows.

The goal: a system that scales legal reading, with sources instead of claims, and without a single client document leaving the building.

§

Built.

A reading system for the firm.

Together with the firm we develop a system that takes in contracts and files, breaks them down and opens them up: it answers questions about the file, flags what needs attention, and places the source next to every statement. Checking and deciding is done by the lawyer. The project is running, document type by document type.

§

Clauses, risks, deadlines, structured.

Prose becomes structure: the system recognises clause types, flags deviations from the firm's own standard, extracts deadlines and amounts. The lawyer sees at a glance where a contract deviates from the norm, and reads on precisely there.

clause risk deadline

Source instead of claim.

Every answer from the system points to document, page and paragraph. One click, and the original passage sits next to the statement. What cannot be proven is flagged as an open question, not sold as an answer.

§ 8 (2) · p. 14 open question — not in the file

The file stays in-house.

Client documents are a law firm's most sensitive asset. The system therefore runs in the firm's own environment, access is separated by mandate, and no document leaves the building for analysis.

Outlook

The system grows with the firm: further document types and workflows follow the same pattern: break down, source, keep in-house.

§

Heard.

"For the first time a system shows me the passage in the document instead of telling me something. That is the difference between a tool and a risk."

Partner level · Law firm

In a law firm, what counts is not what a system knows but what it can prove. That is why the source sits next to every statement, and no document leaves the building.
